The book contains 152 photographs depicting 86 churches and numerous landscapes — both from well‑known and lesser‑known corners of our homeland. Each photograph of a church is accompanied by a detailed description consisting of two parts. The first part, prepared by the well‑known architectural historian Siarhei Khareuski, provides precise scholarly and historical information. The second part is lyrical, written by the photographer. In it, Dzianis Ramaniuk shares what remained outside the frame, as well as his personal feelings and memories connected with the creation of each photograph.
The album is published in an elegant horizontal 300×240 mm format and consists of 192 pages in a hardcover edition. A gift version has also been produced — in a slipcase with gilded page edges.

Every church is unique and picturesque in its own way — just like nature itself. Countless combinations of stone, wood, and color are characteristic of both. Even before construction began, architects chose the most beautiful places for churches. Time passed, construction was completed, and the new spires rose above rooftops and treetops. Yet the church building never disrupted the surroundings or dominated them — they always harmonized and complemented one another. Thus, churches became an inseparable part of the Belarusian landscape.

I believe that a landscape becomes special when a sacred building appears within it. And this brilliant duet — accompanied by artistic photography and detailed descriptions — comes to life in the new book. Its pages gather examples of unique architectural heritage from different corners of Belarus, which look exceptionally striking against picturesque scenery. The book includes the best photographs of churches in the landscape, created over the course of 20 years. During this time, many churches have been restored and become even more beautiful; some, unfortunately, have been lost, while others have been spoiled by modern “restoration and reconstruction”…
